9. Developing robust & enterprise IoT applications (Click here for more info)
The main objective of the workshop is to make the audience aware of whole range of design factors involved in development. IoT applications have to cover the complete value-chain that has sensors-actuators at one end to cloud based operations and integration with existing enterprise operations. While the internet based segment of the ecosystem is stable and supports open and heterogeneous connectivity, not the Sensors-Gateway-Internet part of the system. In fact, this segment is quite fluid in terms of standardization of communication protocols governing the sensor nodes and networks. This workshop highlights the issues developers must be aware of when building robust enterprise applications besides the detailed design considerations, what’s available today, what’s possible, etc. For example, they will need to be aware when choosing to incorporate a protocol if that is likely to get accepted widely, so that the applications developed do not need to be changed in a short while.
