Learn to Develop Voice-Enabled Experiences with Alexa

This hands-on workshop will take you through the skill-building process starting with an introduction to Amazon Alexa and the Alexa Skills Kit while illustrating why Voice is the next major disruption in computing. Build your first skill and then move onto learning voice design and how it differs from designing for the web or mobile.

About Speaker: Sohan is an Alexa Evangelist at Amazon. His role involves inspiring and helping developers build incredible voice experiences using Alexa. Experience of close to 6+ years in System Management, Drivers, Firmware, Biometric systems, Windows Linux Kernel components and Also interested in ML/AI software building. Owns 2 authorized US patents and few recognized patents with Dell. Prior to Dell she has worked with 'Hewlett Packard R & D Hub' and Intel India.

Priti Parate, software senior engineer @Dell EMC. She has completed masters from IISc and having 6+ years of working experience in Development. She is always passionate about emerging technologies and currently exploring hands on data analytics and ML. She is pursuing PG diploma course in Data analytics from IIITB.

Effective DevOps pipeline for Blockchain

Hands on Hyperledger Fabric using IBM Cloud Container(Kubernetes) Service

Workshop will demonstrate the steps involved in setting up your business network on Hyperledger Fabric using Kubernetes APIs on IBM Cloud Container Service. Hosting the Hyperledger Fabric network on IBM Cloud provides you many benefits like multiple users can work on the same setup, the setup can be used for different blockchain applications, the setup can be reused and so on.

Note: Blockchain network setup on Kubernetes is good to use for demo scenarios but for production, it is recommended to use IBM Blockchain as a service hosted on IBM Cloud.

Monolith to Micro-services: A hands on workshop for development of micro-services using open source frameworks

In this workshop we enable developers to transform their monolith applications to micro-services using open source micro-services frameworks. We will do comparative analysis of existing open source microservices framework like Istio, Linkerd, Dubbo and ServiceComb. We will be showcasing Microservice framework like Apache ServiceComb can be used for efficient service discovery, circuit breaking, fault tolerance, route management, logging & tracing, fault injection and Darklaunch deploying on Kubernetes/Docker.
