Chenile is an open-source Java framework for building moduliths and microservices, centered on one core idea: cleanly separating *what a service does* from *how it’s governed*. Each service is split into an `api` module (the interface and data model — pure contract) and a `service` module (a plain POJO with only business logic, no infrastructure code tangled in). Cross-cutting concerns like security, logging, multi-tenancy, i18n, and retries are expressed as reusable “service policies” via a consistent interceptor model that can run at the API gateway, at the “last mile” next to the service, or both — without rewriting code.
