FOSS meets Primary Health Care: Building AMRIT for Bharat
This talk will help developers understand how open source can drive real impact in India’s public health systems. Using the AMRIT journey as an example, it will show how open-sourcing an EHR platform improved adoption, interoperability, and community contributions.
It will emphasize the importance of starting with stakeholder and community needs, and how developers can meaningfully contribute by aligning with real-world challenges. The talk will also connect this work to the broader India Stack and Digital Public Infrastructure movement, enabling developers to see their role in building public goods and contributing to India’s digital growth story with purpose and pride.
