About Talk:
his talk provides an overview of a toolkit called Nerves. Nerves is a set of libraries and build tool chain built on top of the Elixir language. Nerves targets platforms like RaspberryPi and lets you pack your application with the core operating system distribution with as little as 12 MB. Nerves takes care of network discovery, I/O and firmware updates letting you focus on building yoru application. As a part of the talk we will build a quick IoT application flash it on to a Raspberry Pi(s) and let them discover themselves and exchange information with each other with very little configuration. Nerves nicely packages the linux kernel, buildroot, erlang and the elixir VM in a easy to use setup that just works out of the box.
